Salamworld.com: a social network 100% Muslim
A group of Muslim businessmen announced the creation in 2012 of a social website like Facebook for a Muslim audience. Salamworld.com means "to unite the young (Muslim) in the sharing of a common vision and sound values of Islam, trying not to disseminate information unhealthy," said the vice president of the company's creative site, Akhmed Azimov. Based in Istanbul, the site coordinators will be in thirty countries and moderators responsible for filtering the contents prohibited by religion. It will also offer localization services mosques and halal products, distance learning or theological consultations. Target: 50 million users by 2015.
